Course Description

WHMIS 2015 Online is based on the current 2015 legislation and meets the legislated requirement for WHMIS training. WHMIS 2015 has come into effect with a transition period that lasts several years (full implementation by December 1, 2018). Duration WHMIS Online is self-paced. Participants may leave the course at any time and can resume where they left off. Most participants will complete WHMIS Online in less than 2 hours. Learning Objectives: Understand the essential role WHMIS plays in protecting the health and safety of Canadian workers Identify the WHMIS responsibilities of suppliers, employers, and workers Know the workplace requirements related to the use of supplier labels and workplace labels, and how to locate and interpret the information found on these labels Recognize the WHMIS pictograms and the types of hazard each represents Recognize the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) as a source of comprehensive information about a hazardous chemical in the workplace and know how to locate various types of information when reading an SDS Identify the WHMIS exemptions for suppliers and importers Know general safe work practices that should be followed when working with hazardous products WHMIS Online is an active learning experience, using interactive content screens and online exercises to engage learners and reinforce key concepts. Mandatory testing ensures that participants have met learning objectives and retained the required knowledge. Evaluation Process: No participant can complete the course without verifying their understanding of the course material. WHMIS Online is presented in 6 modules. To progress from one module to the next, participants must pass a mandatory test. Those who do not pass the test must review the module content and re-test. There is no limit to the number of re-tests.Test questions are randomly selected from a test bank to ensure that re-tests will be unique.

Cancelation Policy

* Covid-19 - If you are unable to attend the course due to reason related to Covid-19, your payment will be saved as a credit for when you are able to attend the course. Cancellations must be done 48 hours before the scheduled start time of the course. If a course cancellation takes place 24 to 48 hours before the scheduled class a refund of your course fee will be issued, minus an administration fee of $50 (plus tax). If a course cancellation is requested within 24 hours of a course, no refund will be issued. As emergencies and serious life events do happen, we will on a case by case basis, using our sole discretion, allow a credit of your course fee to be applied to the same course. This credit will be valid for 30 days. If you do not rebook a course within those 30 days, the credit will be removed, and no refunds or credits will be given to the customer. The rebooked course date must also be within the 30 days. This credit can only be used once. If you cancel the rescheduled class, the credit will not be applied towards any further bookings and no refund or credit will be given at this point. Any booking after this will be at the regular course fee. If you are 30 minutes or later than the scheduled start time of your course, you will not be allowed to participate in the class, and all fees will be lost. If you do get in touch with us (email) with a valid reason for not being on time, then K Squared First Aid may allow late entry or credit of fees paid to another course taken within 30 days. Weather (ie. snow) will not be considered a reason for not making it on time to a course. Check the weather and traffic reports, leave yourself ample time to arrive safely. Along with winter comes snow and bad roads - these things are to be expected, they will not be considered valid reasons for being late to a class.
